Designing and creating a payment and reporting gateway

Rabobank International is the central bank for the Rabobank cooperative banks in the Netherlands. It serves the international branches and their corporate clients.

Project

Rabobank tasked adesso with implementing a new core banking system in order to reduce its costs. This system was Oracle FlexCube. Due to the fact that using an Indian provider to present European transaction formats presents something of a challenge, adesso performed the encapsulation of the format-specific functionality within a payment and reporting gateway. This gateway undertakes the whole routing process and the format conversion for each country. During the various project phases, adesso filled many of the required roles, including those of Project Manager, Business Analyst, Test Manager, Architect and Developer.

Result

Credit Suisse wants to provide fund information in a very user-friendly manner by using Fund Lab, which adesso took the whole system live in record time – just 12 months. The system is to be gradually expanded to include additional countries.
