The Challenge

Invesis previously managed investment opportunities and key partner information using a fragmented system of Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint decks, and SharePoint folders, with each region developing its own structure. This led to multiple versions of the same documents, complex manual calculations, and limited visibility into project status across departments and time zones.

Key challenges included:

  • Fragmented data: Different document versions, unclear ownership, and no single source of truth.
  • Inefficient collaboration: Global teams struggled with inconsistent access to critical information.
  • Complex Excel models: Required extensive manual updates and carried a high risk of errors.

The Solution: CRM GO! powered by Dynamics 365 & Power Platform

To address these challenges, adesso implemented its CRM GO! solution — a lean, scalable CRM system based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, enhanced by Microsoft Power Platform tools.

CRM GO! offers the core capabilities of Dynamics 365 without the heavy licensing overhead, making it ideal for organizations like Invesis.

Key features implemented:

1. Centralized CRM: One unified system for managing all investment opportunities, companies, contacts, and stakeholders worldwide.

2. Standardized SharePoint integration: A harmonized folder structure across countries, linked to project records in CRM.

3. Automated notifications: Users are alerted to new activities or changes, improving responsiveness.

4. Real-time collaboration: Teams across continents access the same up-to-date records at any time.

Cost-Efficient Document Storage with Blob Connector

One of the standout innovations was the integration of adesso’s custom-developed Blob Storage Connector. Normally, storing documents in Dataverse Notes can lead to significant costs once storage limits are exceeded.

Here’s how our connector works:

  • Users upload documents as usual within CRM.
  • Behind the scenes, files are automatically transferred to Azure Blob Storage.
  • The Dataverse record is seamlessly updated with a new link, with no change to the user experience or the security model.

Result: Document storage is up to 126x more cost-effective, while still fully integrated with the CRM interface.


Licensing Made Easy

Invesis also chose to centralize its Microsoft licensing with adesso. This ensures licensing is always tailored to the evolving CRM setup and backed by implementation know-how — providing consistency, simplicity, and proactive advice.
